§ 58-106. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this article, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Developer shall mean any person, including a governmental agency, undertaking development as defined in this article.

Development shall have the meaning defined in F.S. §§ 163.3164 and 380.84.

Development order shall have the meaning defined in F.S. § 163.3164(6).

Levels of service (LOS) shall mean the recreation and open space levels of service found in the adopted recreation and open space element of the town's comprehensive plan, as may be amended from time to time.

Recreation and open space shall mean public and private land and water uses that are intended for the use of town residents for leisure and recreational activities. These may include, but not be limited to, golf courses, tennis courts, swimming pools, beach access areas and open space or preserve areas.
